Thank you to all parishioners and friends who came to support our community building event. It was such a huge success. To all our volunteers, we can't thank you enough. Your contribution gives hope to our family of faith. May God continue to bless our community and keep our faith vibrant and strong.
We are fortunate to have the International Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima visit St. Timothy's. Father Joseph led the faithful community in welcoming the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a gospel reading, worship songs and praying of the rosary.
Our community of faith made a pilgrimage to Southern California Missions, and enjoyed the beauty and splendor of Mission San Juan Capistrano, Mission San Diego de Alcala and Mission San Luis Rey. It was a day spent in prayer, learning of the history and culture of the native Americans, early settlers and the missionaries from Europe, and bonding with parishioners, sharing laughter and good food.
Last June 3rd, Deacon Tom and his classmates commemorated their 20th Anniversary of Ordination to the Diaconate with a Mass at St. Timothy’s. Deacon Tom was ordained a permanent deacon for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in June 2003 and is assigned to St. Timothy Church, and is also the Deacon at the UCLA University Catholic Center.
The children in religious education and St. Timothy School joined together to celebrate and receive the body and blood of Jesus in the presence of the Holy Eucharist.
The youth in Confirmation program and the RCIA have reached another milestone in their spiritual journey. Rev. Msgr. Terrence Flemming have blessed and anointed them with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
It was a day spent with the Lord, reminding us that no matter what troubles we have in life, no matter how difficult life gets, if we keep our eyes on Jesus, we will be made stronger.
